Furniture Shipping & Delivery

Furniture shipping directly from vendor via UPS Ground

Save time and money, plus there's no need to schedule a delivery. Some furniture items ship directly from the vendor to arrive at your door via UPS Ground. Parcel shipping surcharges are assessed during Checkout and will vary based on size and weight.

Scheduled Delivery

If your merchandise is ready to deliver, you can choose a delivery date at Checkout that works best for you. If your merchandise is on order, we'll contact you when it's in stock and ready to deliver to schedule your delivery date. You must be available to receive your order on your scheduled delivery date, and a time window will be provided to you the day before delivery.

White Glove Delivery

Our White Glove Delivery, provided with scheduled delivery service, features top-quality care and includes the following:

  • Unloading Merchandise
  • Bringing Merchandise Inside
  • Merchandise Set in Room of Choice
  • Unboxing
  • Assembly
  • Packaging Removal & Cleanup


With White Glove Delivery, you'll receive special attention:

  • No heavy lifting: the team delivers to your room of choice, plus furniture is unpacked and assembled
  • Cleanliness: the team wears shoe covers to protect your home, vacuums any mess, and removes any packaging
  • Customer satisfaction: the team inspects the new merchandise, moves similar-sized furniture as necessary to fit the new piece, demonstrates features, and assists with customer service if any issues arise during delivery


Scheduled White Glove Delivery fees

White Glove Delivery base fee is $140 with each additional piece $70.

  • The maximum you'll pay for this premium service is $324
  • White Glove Delivery excludes cribs, which are delivered for $25-$36 but don’t include assembly and setup
  • All stated delivery fees are estimates. Actual delivery fees will be assessed at the time the order is placed. Room of Choice Delivery

Our Room of Choice scheduled delivery service, includes the following:

  • A call when the drivers are on their way prior to your 2-4 hour delivery window
  • Unloading Merchandise
  • Bringing Merchandise Inside
  • Merchandise Set in Room of Choice
  • Discuss potential layout/setup of item(s) being delivered
  • Discuss any potential hazards in and around the requested room location
  • Use pads to protect your home while transporting your furniture
    • Pads and door protectors are used to protect walls and doorways
  • Wear shoe covers so as not to track dirt/mud into your home
  • Review any special requests for moving furniture as needed
    • Furniture can be moved to another room on the same floor but only like items of those being delivered may be moved on the same floor/level
    • If the furniture must be disassembled before it can be moved, our delivery teams are not permitted to disassemble furniture
  • Receive Signature from customer upon completion of delivery
  • Assist you with Customer Service on any issues that arise during delivery



For Room of Choice delivery, the following is NOT included:

  • Assembling the merchandise
  • Unpacking the merchandise
  • Removing the packing material
  • Relocating the merchandise once the initial room of choice has been made


Scheduled Room of Choice Delivery fees:

  • Delivery base fee is $115 with each additional piece $70
  • The maximum you'll pay for this service is $324

Inside Door Delivery

Our Inside Home scheduled delivery service, includes the following:

  • A call when the drivers are on their way prior to your 2-4 hour delivery window
  • Unloading the Merchandise
  • Our team will deliver your merchandise through your front door, garage door, or the first dry area of your choice

For Inside Home delivery, the following is NOT included:

  • Assembling the merchandise
  • Unpacking the merchandise
  • Removing the packing material
  • Change the entrance location once the initial choice has been made



Scheduled Inside Home Delivery fees:

  • Delivery base fee is $75 with each additional piece $60
  • The maximum you'll pay for this service is $299

Scheduling Delivery

  • Delivery can usually be scheduled at time of purchase in store or online during checkout
  • To view or reschedule your delivery, refer to your sale check number on your receipt or order history and visit Furniture & Mattress Delivery
  • If your merchandise is on order, we will contact you when it becomes available in the warehouse to schedule delivery
  • Macy's does not offer furniture/mattress pick-ups from our store or warehouse locations
  • Scheduling a delivery for a specific hour of the day is not available; you'll be provided with a delivery window the day before your delivery
  • The delivery team can carry your furniture up three floors. You will need to indicate at Checkout if you require delivery up more than three floors without an elevator
  • We can hold your purchase at our warehouse for up to 45 days. If you're unable to schedule delivery within 45 days of availability, your order will be canceled

Scheduled Delivery Day Expectations

  • Your delivery driver will call you 30 minutes ahead of time to inform you that the delivery team is on the way
  • You can monitor the ETA of the delivery team on the day of delivery by visiting Furniture & Mattress Delivery
  • The delivery team can move items that are similar to the furniture being delivered to another location on the same floor. They aren't permitted to disassemble furniture or disconnect electrical equipment
  • If your merchandise doesn't fit into your house, it is considered "not delivered" and your account won't be charged. Contact a Store Colleague to discuss reordering options

Post-Order Information

  • Contact us at 1-888-822-6229 (TTY: 711) within three days of delivery if you received damaged, incorrect or incomplete merchandise. To ensure all components are accounted for, please inspect your item thoroughly before reaching out:
    • Check inside drawers, compartments, or hollow bases
    • Look beneath cushions or inside zippered covers
    • Examine fabric linings or dust covers
    • Inspect the back or underside for taped items
    • Accessories are often securely stored in these areas for safe shipping


  • Contact us at 888-822-6229 (TTY: 711) for warranty information if you receive merchandise with a design flaw or manufacturing defect
  • To file a Worry No More claim, contact us within 15 days of the incident


Furniture & Mattress Return Policies

Accessories, lamps, mirrors, and wall art Return Policy:

  • Furniture accessories, lamps, mirrors, and wall art purchased in-store may not be returned to the store. Contact Macy's Customer Service at 1-888-822-6229 (TTY: 711) to request a return of your merchandise. Items purchased in-store can be returned for preference reasons within 30 days of receipt if they are in the original condition and original packaging. Shipping fees won’t be refunded and a restocking fee of 15% will be charged.




Furniture shipped directly from vendor via UPS Ground Return Policy:

  • Furniture shipped directly from our vendor to your home may be returned for preference reasons within 30 days of receipt by contacting Macy's Customer Service at 1-888-822-6229 (TTY: 711). Items must be in the original condition and original packaging. Direct from vendor or UPS Ground delivered furniture can't be returned to the store or furniture galleries. Shipping fees and any surcharges won't be refunded and a 15% preference return fee will be charged.


Pool table policy:

  • Pool table purchases are non-refundable and do not come with a preference return policy. Upon delivery and installation, the customer has the responsibility to carefully examine the pool table and advise the professional installer of any damages, imperfections, flaws, or concerns you may have discovered with the pool table in your home. All issues & concerns must be reported to the professional installer before they leave your home. Pool tables are exempted from Macy's preference return policy.



Mattresses shipped directly from vendor via UPS Ground Return Policy:

  • Please allow your body to adjust to your new mattress. If you are not satisfied, contact Macy's Customer Service at 1-888-822-6229 (TTY: 711) within 120 days of receipt and schedule a one-time re-selection or return. Direct from vendor or UPS Ground-delivered mattresses cannot be returned to the store or furniture galleries. Shipping fees or any surcharges won’t be refunded and a 15% preference return fee will be charged.



Furniture with scheduled delivery Return Policy:

  • Upon delivery, carefully examine each piece of delivered furniture. If you notice any damages or imperfections within three days of your delivery, notify Macy's Customer Service at 1-888-822-6229 (TTY: 711). We'll schedule a service appointment to correct the issue. If you wish to return the furniture for preference reasons, you must contact Macy's Customer Service within three days of your delivery. For returns based on preference, furniture protection plans will be refunded. The delivery fee will not be refunded and a restocking fee of 15% will be charged. Furniture returns based on preference must be returned in the original condition.



Mattresses with scheduled delivery Return Policy:

  • Please allow your body to adjust to your new mattress. If you are not satisfied, contact Macy's Customer Service at 1-888-822-6229 (TTY: 711) within 120 days of receipt and schedule a one-time reselection or return. The reselection must be scheduled within 14 days of your call. The mattress and/or set must be undamaged, unsoiled, and free of stains. Worry No More Protection plan fees will be refunded so long as the complimentary mattress pad is also returned. Please note that your delivery fee won't be refunded. A $99.00 pick-up fee will be charged and a 15% preference return fee will be charged. There are free first-time returns on mattresses from Purple, Sattva, Leesa, and Bedgear. The 15% preference return fee will not be charged for Tempur-Pedic mattresses.



Furniture & Mattress Hold Policy:

  • If you are unable to accept delivery of your merchandise within 45 days of availability, your salescheck order will be canceled. To schedule or change your delivery date, or to manage your delivery alerts, visit macys.com/furnituredelivery and select the Schedule Delivery button.


Store purchases of Final Sale/As Is merchandise Return Policy:

  • Final Sale/As Is merchandise is purchased on an 'As Is' and 'with all faults basis. The entire risk as to the quality and performance of the merchandise is with the buyer. Should the merchandise prove defective following purchase, the buyer, and not the manufacturer, distributor, or retailer assumes the cost of all necessary servicing or repairs. Final Sale/As Is merchandise may not be exchanged, returned, or receive a price adjustment and is not covered by any warranties for existing or future damage.


Third-Party Seller Furniture & Mattress Policy

  • Third-Party Seller Furniture & Mattress items must be returned directly to the seller within 30 days of purchase. These items cannot be returned in the store and must be disassembled, properly packaged, and shipped back to the seller.



Special Order Return Policy:

  • Because special order merchandise is manufactured specifically for you, Macy's requires a 25% non-refundable deposit. Vendor ship times may vary; your Store Colleague can only provide you with an estimated ship time. If you cancel or return special order merchandise, you'll forfeit the 25% deposit.


Return Credit:

  • You'll receive credit after the merchandise has been returned. Once we receive the merchandise, we'll process your credit immediately. Depending on your bank's processing time, it may take a few days to reflect on your account. If you purchased the merchandise with cash or gift cards, a refund will be mailed in the form of a check or merchandise-only certificate, which will be processed for shipment within three business days.



Pricing & Payment Policies for Furniture & Mattresses

Payment Options:

  • There are many online payment options that you can use at checkout for your purchases, including Macy’s Card, Macy’s American Express Card, third-party credit cards (American Express, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover), and Macy’s Gift Cards/ E-Gift Cards. Call us at 1-888-822-6229 (TTY: 711) if you're placing furniture, mattress, or rug orders and would like to apply for a Macy's Gift Card/ E-Gift Card.


  • When debit cards are used as your form of payment, a temporary authorization hold will be placed on the card at the time of purchase. This hold may appear as reduced available funds in your checking account until the hold expires.


Promo codes:

  • Because we factor savings into our prices Rakuten rewards and many Macy's promo codes do not apply to furniture, mattress, or rug purchases. For more information about potential exclusions, select the details link next to our online promo codes.



Macy's new account discount:

  • For furniture, mattress, or rug only, you'll receive 20% off (up to $100 off) for up to 2 days when you open a Macy's account. Your discount will appear on your statement after delivery. To apply, select the Apply for Macy's Credit Card link at the bottom of the macys.com site, or stop by any of our stores.



Price Adjustments:

  • If you see the furniture, mattress, or rug that you purchased from Macy's at a lower price within 10 days, contact us at 1-888-822-6229 (TTY: 711).
    • In-Home & Room of Choice - 10 days from date of delivery
    • Parcel from Warehouse - 10 days from date shipped from the warehouse
    • Parcel from Vendor - 10 days from date shipped from the vendor


  • Macy’s will price match for the exact mattress, furniture, or rug within $200.00 when a competitor meets the following stipulations:
    • Mattress/furniture/rug must be identical in specifications which can be by name, style, or model description
    • Must provide proof of the specifications for review. Proof must include a printed advertisement, an email advertisement, proof of current pricing online from the competitor’s website, or a dated sales receipt
    • The retailer must have a physical location (online-only retailers do not qualify)


  • Macy's price adjustment policy does not apply to other retailer’s coupons, taxes, delivery, removal, or other service fees


  • Macy’s does NOT match the price of retailers that:
    • Charge membership fees
    • Cashback retailers
    • Cashback websites
    • Second-hand retailers


  • Remember that many Macy's mattresses have exclusive features and are therefore not eligible for price-matching




Authorization holds:

  • An authorization hold is put on your credit card when an order is placed. This triggers what looks like a deduction of the purchase price from the funds available to be debited. The money is still in your account, but the amount of the authorization hold is restricted from use. This procedure ensures the funds necessary to complete the transaction remain available until the order is processed after delivery. Upon delivery, the funds are deducted from the account. Most holds last from three to seven days, but the holding periods can vary from bank to bank.
  • We do not process the actual charge until after the delivery of the merchandise. If there is a delay from the purchase date until the delivery date of your merchandise, we will continue to authorize the purchase to verify the funds remain available. Authorization holds occur:
  • Approximately every 25 days on your third-party credit card
  • Up to seven days after the purchase and reauthorized every 10 days on your Macy’s account until delivery is completed
  • In the event that your order is canceled, the hold is usually removed within 72 hours. You may contact your bank to request a release of any holds on your account. For more information, contact the bank that issued your card for their policy regarding authorization holds

Financing Options:


We offer the option of financing based on the price of your furniture or mattress purchase! The current offers are:

  • No interest if paid in full within 12 months* on furniture or mattress purchases of $499 or more with your Macy’s Credit Card. Interest will be charged to your account from the purchase date if the purchase balance is not paid in full within 12 months. Valid everyday


During select promotional events, we also offer:


  • No interest if paid in full within 18 months* on furniture purchases of $1,499 or more or mattress purchases of $999 or more with your Macy’s Credit Card. Interest will be charged to your account from the purchase date if the purchase balance is not paid in full within 18 months. Valid during select Macy’s events.
  • No interest if paid in full within 24 months* on furniture purchases of $2,499 or more or mattress purchases of $1,999 or more with your Macy’s Credit Card. Interest will be charged to your account from the purchase date if the purchase balance is not paid in full within 24 months. Valid during select Macy’s events.
  • No interest if paid in full within 36 months* on select furniture purchases of $2,999 or more or mattress purchases of $2,499 or more with your Macy’s Credit Card. Interest will be charged to your account from the purchase date if the purchase balance is not paid in full within 36 months. Valid during select Macy’s events.
